Farewell to Thee My Insecta Man!

Why I love CSI...let me count the reasons...
1. I love Gil Grissom (William Peterson)...one of my greatest wish is to have a boss..and also be a boss like him..very understanding, strict yet wise, and always trying to teach new things..yet never loosing the joy of learning himself......we share the same passion for the Insecta world...

2. The man of my dreams..Nick Stokes (George Eads)...he's just perfect...
Ok..actually there's more reasons..but im dedicating this post to my Insecta man..
GIL GRISSOM
In Malaysian TV..Gil's last appearance was last week..an emotional ending for mr grissom..
What really caught my attention, was how sweet the ending was..
Gil finally gets his girl!! Can u believe it??? After so long...keeping his profesionalism intact, his feelings well guarded..Gil then rushes to Costa Rica into the loving arms of Sarah...*awwwww*
Which goes to show..office romance is a bit complicated...ngahaha..so find someone who u work closely with, but dont be in the same division!! :)
With that..last words to Gil...I'm going to miss u...Horatio and Mack dont even come close to matcing u!!

My Johnny and Me

Johnny is my car...

A shiny red Myvi...which some say is out of character for me since i love green..but i for some reason has always envisioned my first car would be chilli red..but that's a different story...

Anyways...on the 17th of April 2009. a sleepy me was driving along the roads of Precint 18, heading back home..

So to cut long story short..i ran a red light..in haste to get back home and sleep..and ran into a kancil..

This is the picture of the Kancil (courtesy of Ady..thanks)..so as u can see..i really went in into the car..not from the impact..but from the panicked reaction of me pressing the gas instead of the breaks..

This is Johnny...it still pains me to look at the picture..coz i love my car very much...in case any of u are wondering why I named my car Johnny, and how i know its a male..

Johnny is one of my favourite english names, which join the ranks of other favourite names like Benjamin, and Alexander.

I name all my gadgets with a male name.. Archie for my Acer laptop, Exie for my hphone, amnd Mack for my MacBook. Why?? Anything that u have to tell them what to do, is a male..females usually do things even when they're not instructed to..

Ok back to the accident..the other driver is a pregnant lady from MOF..(yes..of all people..i had to terrorize the life of a pregnant woman)

Alhamdulillah..nobody was seriously hurt, except for a few bruises..i wasso scared for the baby..so i have promised to fast on Mondays and Thursdays for a whole month..will start next week in May...

Any donations are welcomed coz i have to pay for everything...for the fact that my insurance and road tax kaput a few days before...well...i always knew i had to learn the hard way...

Introducing Tisha Starfish!

My love for all this water-related was cemented in my blood ever since i was a little child..we used to go to the company's beach house in PD every school holidays..

During my Uni days, i was either going to major in Ecology or Marine Sciences, but opt for the former as i love the environment in many aspects, including marine life or terrestrial.

I was offered to do my scuba licence when i was in Uni, with a dirt cheap price of RM500, but as many of u may know, RM500 is a hefty sum when u r in Uni, things to consider like college fees, materials, books, fieldwork..so I had to pass the chance..but the dream lives on..

So when my bestie, farah asked me whether i was interested in joining a scuba classs early this year..i jumped at the chance..so after attending theory classes and pool lessons..we headed to Redang on the 11th of April 2009..

I am blessed to have a very committed buddy, and thankful that our instructor KAZ is someone i could really get along..KAZ is a follow-by-the-book instructor, and one very responsible person..

I was obviously very jittery on the first dive...this time i remembered to equalize properly..since i had a very painful experience in the pool session..and the sea!! Ya Allah!! Gorgeous...for those of u who loves snorkeling like i do, being underwater is a different ballpark alltogether! The fish, colourful, more evidence of our Creator's divinity, the corals..spectacular..i could go on forever..

Unfortunately, we had a little incident...well..okay..i kinda slept underwater...dont ask me how that happened..(secretly i blame KAZ for being such a bore.. kekekeke) but i was lucky i had a rescue diver with me, Shafuan, my hero! I dont really recall what happened..except for one moment to the surface, i kind of panicked and took off my regulator and mask!
Well..to cut a story short, we had to cut the dive short too...we went back to the dive shop where i rested before going for the 2nd dive..surface interval...
Normally, a person would be a bit worried to continue, having experiencing something like that..but as how KAZ put it, "Ina's being competitive"...so i swallowed my fear and dive for the second time..determined to do better..which i did!
More dive stories to come..keep posted!

Living in the Witch's Castle

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom in a land not so far away. It was governed by a fair queen, lovely in appearance and in nature. All her subjects loved her, and pledged their allegiance to her.
Unfortunately, one day, the queen's father requested her to rule another country, and she readily accepted, as a good daughter would.. she was confident her subjects would still thrive without her, as they were capable..and she has trained them as would her own children
After the Good Queen left, a dark shadow cast upon the sky...as an evil presence was approaching..and lo and behold..came the Wicked Witch...
As dark as the sorm..and a dark heart to match, she ruled the kingdom..misery for those who crossed her path...the kingdom fell into depression, no laughter when she was around..only sadness and ill will..
Then one day, came a pheasant girl to the kingdom...unaware of the danger that lies in such a peaceful kingdom..she tried to bring joy and happiness to the kingdom, flowers, sunshine and laughter..and soon the kings and queens of other kingdoms began to take notice..
Now, the wicked witch, seeing this unusual attention on her kingdom, began to torture the pheasant girl..she took away the sunshine, killed the flowers..cast a spell to make the pheasant girl mute..but she could not take away the pheasant girl's spirit, which shone even though the hour was dark, her future bleak..
The pheasant girl tried to whether the storm...and all she had was a lovely friends to keep her strong, her prayer as well as her faith to keep her sane..
So, how does the story end???
I cannot foresee the future, my friends..but like the pheasant girl, i refuse to be kicked, nor pushed away..but maintain my happiness, counting my lucky stars that I have this opportunity to be in this kingdom..to meet new friends...and to learn new things..
For that my friends, I am forever grateful for your warmth and kindness..and together..we will rid the Wicked Witch from this kingdom... Amin..

Things To Do Before I Die : Taman Negara

I have always wanted to go to Taman Negara...

First time..wanted to go with my college mates..but had to go to field work...

2nd time with my Uni buddies..but had a college thingy going on..so cannot go..

But third time is a charm..with the grace of Kak Mas from JPA, i had the oppurtunity to join a group of people, not only from JPA, but JPM and NRE as well..on an exploration trip to Taman Negara..

Madey brought along Shukri (who somehow is called Ucop..), and together with Kak Mas, Rashbab and Farah Dhiba...we set off at 11 pm, 27 March 2009 in front of JPA..together with a team of 34 people..

We reached (Alhamdulillah..driver bus was on the phone all nite long) Jerantut at 5.30 am...a very groggy me went to look for a toilet..Rashbab..well...subur la tanah umah org tu, babe..

Then walked to the camp site..proceeded to eat breakfast on a floating restaurant..and to a lovely place where we berendam to our hearts content..

It was off to the Kelah Conservation Site, but unfortunately, there was no kelah to hug (please note my Former KSU holding the kelah..i uploaded the image..) but we had a blast swimming with them..and thank God, Sifoo brought goggles..
We headed back to camp...ate heartily, thanks to the ever-ready Ajeep..and rested..before proceeding to Gua Telinga..
Anyone who wants a taste of guano (that's bat poo) should go to the cave..its full of poo! never in my life have i seen so much crap! And between u and me..i got to see something else as well..but in respect of nazri..this will remain between us groopies :)
Later that nite...we had our barbeque..and our ice-breaking session..by 9.30 most of us were too tired to go on.. but i never could sleep on the first night im at a new place...thanks to my troubadour who sang my birthday song :)
The next day, after a heavy breakfast..we sat out to Bukit Teresek..unfortunately i did not make it to the top..thanks to my calf..so had to be satisfied with the view...but the good part is that i got a leg massage from Sifoo, company from the lovely Puan Nafisah and Ajeep..
Thank goodness i was able to experience the Canopy Walk...the view was breathtaking..the company..sublime..hmmm...for the first time in my life...i find myself longing for something i could not have...
The evening part was the best of all..we went to a jeram..its true what they say "It's not the destination that's important..it's the journey"..We had so much fun!!! Kudos to our bot drivers for giving us such a good time...and to the crew of the lost ship...ngahahaha!! too bad!!
Needless to say, I enjoyed myself to the max on the trip...met more friends of the same interests..and doing things I never thought i dared to do..
The trip back was cosy..but being too tired..i could not sleep..so i enjoyed the company of my new found friends..wishing for something i can't have, and letting the memories of Taman Negara drown my cares away..
next up : My redang trip with diving buddies..cant wait!!
